My Novels

Tirfo Thuin

Niamh, heir to the Witche Throne, is the only hope in restoring peace between her people and the neighbouring Sorcerers. Accompanied by her best friend Henry, she embarks upon a journey to re-unite the ancient Spirit of the Sea to his rightful place beside the Gods before he can be used for evil.

Niamh has no idea of the dangers that lie ahead. In her fight for peace she will cross paths with many strange and dangerous beings and face unimaginable sights.

Will her destiny prove to be what she had hoped for? Only time will tell.

  1. Wow! You’re a dark horse aren’t you. I have read it and am very, very impressed; plus I think the cover art looks fantastic. Before you get famous will you write a Spontaniac narrative? Let me know how it all goes.

    • Cheers for that, appreciate you taking a look. Yeah I have been doing it for a while now on and off but just started trying to gain a bit of online presence with this blog and Twitter etc. The aim is to assess self publishing versus traditional smaller bricks-and-mortar publishing and try and get it on the shelves by the end of the year. At the minute publishing as an e-book looks the better option as lesser known authors find it more difficult to get in with a traditional publishers now and the percentage cut is higher if you self publish. It also means that it appears on Amazon, Apple, Barnes and Noble etc. The advice is to sell lots by selling cheap with this genre.

It is just hardcore editing and refining at the moment and trying to find people to review it. Let me know if you know of anyone that likes this kind of genre who might be interested. I also have a school who are considering reviewing the opening chapters with a class of students for feedback which will be interesting. Just checked out the Spontaniac site – looks amazing. Give me a shout anytime; I’d be up for discussing possibilities. Thanks.

  2. You can view the first three chapters of my book here: http://www.youwriteon.com/books/bookdetail.aspx?bookguid=8de10c83-c938-4bd9-aa7d-486662ab024b

I am constantly revising this as I continue to edit my novel ready for print but it gives you an idea of the type of book it is and whether you will enjoy reading on when I post more. I will also be posting the latest version of the first chapter on this blog on Sunday as part of #samplesunday for comments/feedback.

  3. It does hook me, but you could make it even more slick, if you wanted to. Mainly the first paragraph, which has a LOT of information that we don’t necessarily need in a hook! Just my two cents 😉
